The Mountain — Film Art Installation
Art Director

Mountain is a significant large-scale, totemic sculpture by Anish Kapoor, one of the most influential contemporary artists of his generation, internationally renowned for his exploration of form, scale, materiality, and the psychological relationship between object, space, and viewer.

Kapoor’s work consistently engages with ideas of void, presence, and transcendence and Mountain exemplifies this through its commanding physicality and meditative sense of mass and stillness.

The sculpture is narrated by leading art historian and critic Richard Cork, former art critic of The Times and a long-standing champion of modern and contemporary British art, whose scholarship has shaped public understanding of artists including Henry Moore, David Hockney, and Kapoor himself.

In his narration for this film, Cork draws on his extensive critical engagement with Kapoor’s practice, cataloguing the work while illuminating its material qualities and situating it within the artist’s broader investigation of form, space and the physical experience of sculpture.

Changing Faces Exhibition
02

Curator, Producer and Creative Director

A unique and unprecedented body of work, pulling together fresh and unseen images, utilising existing photographic archives, personal collections and documentary photographs from South Asian youth culture.

The project addressed the challenge of creating an experiential, brand-enhancing event as part of O2’s ethnic communications strategy at a pivotal moment, coinciding with the brand’s national launch. The objective was to promote O2’s SMS messaging service to a nationwide Asian audience, while also resonating with a broader mass audience, and to ensure the activity aligned seamlessly with the overarching brand strategy.

In response, a curated photographic exhibition documenting British Asian youth culture was created from the 1970s to the present day (2003), combining newly commissioned work with audience-submitted images to encourage participation and foster a genuine sense of ownership.
The exhibition integrated SMS links to access further information about the artworks, artists, and related events, reinforcing the service at the heart of the brief.

Following extensive research, we carefully selected subjects and images, contextualised them with historical narratives and designed and built the gallery space to reflect O2’s brand values while preserving the exhibition’s creative independence, supported by a suite of printed collateral to extend the experience.
